A. LANGE & SÖHNE, GRAND LANGE 1 MOONPHASE REF. 139.025, A FINE PLATINUM WRISTWATCH
The Grand Lange 1 has a larger diameter and a thinner case profile than the original standard-production Lange 1. At first glance you could easily think there's no difference. For the most part, the idiosyncratic dial layout and assortment of off-centred complications is identical, give or take the chosen variant. The first generation of the Grand Lange 1 was in production until 2011, when it was updated with an ever-so-slightly smaller case diameter (downsized from 41.9mm to 40.9 mm).
With its beautiful silver dial and the wonderful inclusion of the moonphase, this Lange & Söhne is a fantastic watch to wear on any occasion. The platinum case gives the watch a presence on the wrist which its slim profile may not automatically suggest.
Since its relaunch, A. Lange & Söhne is quickly becoming one of the most respected names in watchmaking; famous for its high standards and almost peerless quality and attention to detail. This lot presents a wonderful opportunity to acquire one of their beautiful creations.
