Lot Essay

This rare Audemars Piguet timepiece is a more flamboyant take on the Quantième Perpétuel Carré produced by the brand in the 1990s. The original square perpetual calendar was inspired by a historical piece made by the brand in the 1940s. This particular piece carrying the case number 1 was probably made for a VIP client and is distinguished by its strikingly pretty case set with baguette-cut emerald stones and a stunning mother of pearl dial. The watch is powered by the ultra-thin manual-winding 2003/2805 and is presented here in a very attractive condition.
