Exceedingly rare and prestigious, the superlative limited release reference 3857 was introduced in 1997 to mark the 250th anniversary of the storied firm, Breguet. An extraordinarily complicated wristwatch, its functions include a minute repeater, perpetual calendar and tourbillon escapement, all housed within a 40-mm. 18k yellow gold case with classic Breguet details. The engine-turned dial display is masterfully executed, featuring jumping hours and minutes, a retrograde date.

The celebrated manufacture Breguet is known for their classically elegant and complicated timepieces. The founder Abraham-Louis Breguet (1747-1823) was a master of both technical mastery and aesthetic perspective.
