Lot Essay

This Cartier Santos-Dumont Le Brésil is part of a trio of large-size Cartier Santos-Dumont models made as a tributes to aircraft created by Brazilian aviator Alberto Santos-Dumont around the turn of the 20th century.

All three models – one in platinum (Brésil, limited to 100 pieces), yellow gold (La Baladeuse, 300 pieces), and steel (Bis, 500 pieces) – featured hand-wound 430 MC movements and the casebacks featured engravings of the namesake flying machines.

The present timepiece is from the original owner and is excellent condition. Furthermore, it is presented with the original warranty card, presentation box and outer packaging
