Lot Essay

A superb and understated example of Cartier’s high watchmaking chops, the present reference is part of the brand’s much admired Collection Privée Cartier Paris (CPCP) – a selection of watches made from 1998 to 2008 that riffed on classic archival designs but were updated for the modern era.

Cased entirely in noble platinum, the slim and svelte design of the case acts as a perfect foil for the hand-wound skeleton movement, the Cal. 9710 MC. The bridges of the movement have a sun-ray finish and the occasional pink rubies stand out against the grey of the movement bridges.

A limited edition of just 50 pieces, the present watch is in very good condition and is offered with its box and certificate.
