The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
OVERALL CONDITION: The hour glass is in very fine overall condition.
CASE: The case is in very good condition for its age. It retains its original proportions and isn’t noticeably scratched, marked or dented. Some age can be seen on the brass but this is entirely natural
GLASS/ DIAL: The glass appears to be in excellent condition. The dials on the either side of the hour glass are in excellent condition.
MOVEMENT: Ticking at the time of cataloguing. However, we do not test the movement for accuracy. A service is recommended.
BASE: The base appears to be in very good condition. Some minor surface scratches can be seen. There is a very small crack next to the clock depicting London but this is not immediately visible. Some natural age to the bronze can be seen.
