The Cosmic Triple Calendar was produced between 1947 and 1956. The post-War era saw a boom in the production of elegant dress watches and this triple calendar with moon-phase model from Omega was bang on trend when it was launched in the late 1940s.
It was produced in various different sizes – 35 mm and 37 mm – and shapes.
There were six references – Ref. 3606, 2471, 2473, 2485, 2486 and 3944. The watch was powered by Omega’s Calibre 381, which was rebadged Cal, 27 DL PC developed by Lemania. It’s worth mentioning here that in 1932, Tissot, Omega, and Lemania merged to form the SSIH (Société Suisse pour l'Industrie Horlogère). Lemania would produce movements for all three bands including the famous Cal. 321 used on the Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch.
