This version of the Speemaster was launched to mark the 50 years since since Omega received the Silver Snoopy Award from the astronauts at NASA in recognition of the brand’s services in the space program.

This is only the third time that the famous cartoon beagle has appeared on a Speedmaster dial. The Snoopy Editions have always been popular with Speedmaster enthusiasts and this one was immediately sold out upon its release.

A huge part of the watch's appeal is the animated caseback – it shows Snoopy in a Command Service Module flying around the far side of the moon, the lunar surface is decorated using micro-structured metallisation. In the distance, the earth disc rotates once a minute, in sync with the watch’s running seconds hand at 9 o’ clock. The chronograph seconds hand is in sync with the hand that props up Snoopy’s Command Service Module – so when the chronograph is activated, Snoopy begins his journey around the moon.

Novel and extremely collectible, the watch is being offered from the original owner in unworn condition and thus presents a rare opportunity for Speedmaster enthusiasts.
