The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
CONDITION REPORT
OVERALL CONDITION: Good
CASE: Shows signs of wear, the case proportions are kept and well defined, two gold hallmarks visible, deep and crisp, One is visible under one of the lugs, the other one is visible between crown and pusher on the band of the case.
DIAL: Original dial, the dial has developed a patina which is pleasing to the eye.
There is a minor loss and aging of the zapon (protective laquer) on the right edge of the dial near the crown, some age marks visible on the dial.
Minor spotting on the dial which is consistent with the age of the dial. The grooves of the chronograph counters are consistent in shape and depth and make us believe that this dial has been cleaned by a professional.
Minor marks on the index at 12 , 1, 4 and 5.
The dial has been washed in the past, as we can see from the back of the dial, indexes have been removed previously. No invasive signs of restauration.
The raised enamel of the dial markings are intact, even the accent on top of the ‘E’ on Genève is visible.
MOVEMENT: Ticking at the time of cataloguing. The chronograph function is working.
The movement is protected by a dust cover. The movement is stamped with the hallmark of Geneva. We can see spotting on one of the bridges, otherwise the movement and screws is in good condition.
We do not check the movement for accuracy. A service is recommended.
FUNCTIONS: Time, chronograph, tachymeter
BUCKLE: 18k gold buckle has surface scratches
