Lot Essay

The reference 5339 is the successor of the famed reference 3939. It features almost the same attributes, including the white enamel dial, but is wider in diameter than its predecessor and offers a 36.5mm case. Another feature that distinguishes it from the Ref. 3939 is its hobnail "Clou de Paris" bezel, another Patek Philippe signature feature.

The enamel dial now features "baton" numerals, giving it a contemporary look. Reference 5339 was in production from 2010 until 2012 and was only manufactured in pink gold. Reference 5339 is today no longer in production and was replaced in 2013 by reference 5539.
