OVERALL CONDITION: Fair, given the age of the watch
CASE: Shows signs of wear, has been polished in the past. Lots of surface scratches. Inside caseback stamped with the reference number 4767
DIAL: Two-tone dial shows signs of age, there are spider-web like patterns near the sub-dials where the protective lacquer dial has cracked. Some bubbles have also formed on the dial and there in an uneven patina all over the dial. There are fine oil stains on the hands when viewed under a loupe. The dial carries the verbiage “Oyster Chronographe” and “Anti-Magnetique” which suggests that the watch was destined for the French market. However the day and month wheels are in English suggesting that the calendar indications were changed later.
MOVEMENT: Ticking at the time of cataloguing. All the functions are working. However, we do not test the movement for accuracy. A service is recommended.
BRACELET: The stretch bracelet shows signs of wear. A central link on the bracelet has become a little loose. Clasp stamped with the number 2 51. Approx. length 190 mm. including watch head.
