The “Mustard Dial” Daytona models are another example of what makes Rolex collecting such an exciting prospect for watch enthusiasts. Originally white in colour like the regular production models, these dials changed to cream or mustard yellow over time because of a natural defect in the protective varnish used on them. It is believed that only models made between 2000 and 2002 in the serials P, K and Y have turned to mustard.

These “Mustard Dial” Daytona models are extremely collectible and each dial is slightly different since the change in hue is very random for each timepiece and has developed over time. The present timepiece is from the P series and has been preserved in good condition and is presented with its full-set of accessories.

OVERALL CONDITION: Very good

CASE: Very good, light surface scratches only

DIAL: Original white dial has turned "mustard" due to a defect in the varnish. Lume plots on the dial and hands react to UV light briefly

MOVEMENT: Ticking at the time of cataloguing. The chronograph function is working. However, a service is recommended.

BRACELET/ CLASP: Very good, light surface scratches only. Buckle has a few scratches
