The reference 116523 has the distinction of being the first two-tone (steel and gold) reference in the Rolex Daytona line-up to run the brand’s in-house chronograph movement, the Cal. 4130.
Rolex started incorporating mother of pearl dials in the 1980s and the Daytona models with these dials have their own following. The present example has an attractive iridescent dial with textured gold sub-dials and diamond hour markers.
Consigned from the original owner, the watch comes with its original box and papers and is in excellent condition.
