The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The reference 6265, together with its cousin the 6263, is the ultimate evolution of the manual winding Daytona. Introduced in 1969, seven years after the 6239, the first Daytona. The 6265 remains faithful to the original model thanks to the stainless steel bezel. The main visible evolution is the presence of screw-down pushers as opposed to the earlier pump pushers, added to make the watch more water resistant. Inside, the 6265 is fitted with the famous calibre Valjoux 727, which was an evolution from the Calibre 722-1 present on some 6239, 6241 and 6240.
This watch which is found in very good condition indeed is accompanied by a remarkable selection of papers; its original guarantee from Swansea, all of its service papers and receipts. This is really a wonderful find and virtually as good a 6265 as you will find.
