ROLEX "MECCANO" REF. 19168, A GOLD DAY-DATE OYSTERQUARTZ SET WITH DIAMONDS AND SAPPHIRES
Introduced in 1977, the OysterQuartz Day Date is powered by the electromechanical quartz movement Caliber 5055. This striking example has a bezel set with baguette-cut sapphires, the bracelet too is festooned with these stones on the centre links and round cut diamonds on the end links. Diamonds are used in place of the hour markers. Since this watch has an integrated bracelet, the reference number is engraved on the watch case under one of the lugs. This particular reference has been featured in Day Date, The Presidential Rolex by Pucci Papaleo, Spin Edizioni.
