Lot Essay

The Malte collection was launched in 2000 and takes it name for the Maltese Cross, Vacheron Constantin brand’s emblem since 1880. When it was launched at the start of the third millennium, the Malte collection was distinguished by its flared stepped lugs and facetted sword-shaped hands.

The present watch has a dual-time function and the second time zone can be set via pusher at the 10 o’ clock position on the case. The cuvette caseback reveals the beautifully-finished Cal. 1206, based on the Frédéric Piguet calibre 1500.
