The 1815 collection, named after the birth year of Ferdinand Adolph Lange, pays tribute to A. Lange & Söhne’s rich watchmaking heritage. Inspired by the historic pocket watches that established the reputation of Glashütte watchmaking, the collection is characterised by a classical design language, traditional craftsmanship and complications deeply rooted in Saxon horological tradition.

Introduced to commemorate the 75th anniversary of renowned Spanish jeweller Suarez, the 1815 Up/Down ‘Suarez Edition’ was produced in an exclusive limited series of only 20 pieces. While retaining the elegant aesthetic of the standard pink gold model, this special edition is distinguished by a hinged caseback featuring a finely machine-engraved depiction of Suarez’s historic headquarters in Bilbao. This highly distinctive detail celebrates the heritage of one of Spain’s most prestigious jewellery houses and transforms the present watch into a particularly rare and intriguing variation of the celebrated 1815 Up/Down.

Case: The case is in very good condition, with minor scratches and dents. A scratch is visible on the upper right lug. The case back shows very limited signs of wear and still presents the plastic sticker.
Buckle: Scratches and dents.
Strap: The watch is sold and delivered with a Christie's branded strap, the original strap is not included in the sale.
