Lot Essay

According to the Archives of Audemars Piguet, the present wristwatch was sold in 2002 to Italy.

The present, very well-preserved Royal Oak model is a very well-preserved example of the ref. 15202 in stainless steel, featuring a slate grey “petite tapisserie” dial with the AP emblem at 12 o’clock.

With its design closely following the original lines of the 5402, this Royal Oak Extra Thin is the manufacturer’s modern Jumbo version.

From its introduction to the present day, the Royal Oak, epitome of a luxury sports wristwatch with its unique octagonal screwed porthole bezel, continues to captivate watch collectors and aficionados with undiminished power.
