Lot Essay

According to the Archives of Audemars Piguet, the present wristwatch was sold in 2005

This ladies' watch is part of a limited edition of 500 pieces and captivates primarily by its simplicity. Unmistakable is the DNA of a Royal Oak with its classic design of its octagonal bezel screwed with hexagonal screws. The red printed Alinghi symbol in the lower half of the dial and the outer minute ring with red printed numerals adding additionally a nice splash of color to the present, well-preserved, timepiece.

In 2002, Audemars Piguet joined forces with Ernesto Bertarelli to support the Alinghi team from Switzerland. In honour of the legendary sailboat the firm has offered since then a range of different models with connection to Alinghi.
