Lot Essay

The name Montbrillant was inspired from the Rue Mont Brillant, the street in La Chaux-de-Fonds where Breitling workshops were located from 1892 to 1979. It is there that technical innovations for Breitling were born, including the self-winding chronograph in 1969.

The present example is no. 12 of the limited edition of 250 pieces in pink gold with black dial launched in 2006. The case features a raised reproduction of the original Breitling manufacture.
