The Calibre de Cartier is characterized by a special elegance and sportiness, inspired by the classic design of traditional Cartier circular timepieces and reinterpreted to convey a contemporary sense of style.

In 2010, the firm launched the Calibre de Cartier model series with the first in-house produced movement 1904MC. MC stands for "Manufacture Cartier", while 1904 refers to the pioneering spirit of Louis Cartier who, in 1904, developed the houses’ first wristwatch for the pilot Alberto Santos.
