Lot Essay

In 2001, Glashütte presented PanoRetroGraph, the first mechanical watch with a 30-minute countdown function and triple-repetition chime. The watch is limited to 50 pieces in platinum and 150 pieces in white gold. The watch offers a chronograph function, a countdown function as well as a chiming mechanism to announce the end of the event that was counted down. To use the countdown function, you can set the desired count down time by pulling out the crown to section 2. When you set the count down time and push in the crown back, you can start the countdown by pressing the button at 10 o'clock. The watch chimes at the end of the countdown to alert the wearer.
