Lot Essay

Heuer’s iconic Carrera was born a manual-winding chronograph in 1964. However, in 1969, the model also benefited from the automatic chronograph Calibre 12 that was developed as part of Project 99 jointly by Hamilton, Breitling and Heuer.

The present Carrera features a second generation tonneau-form case that frames a silvered dial with grey chronograph registers, tachymeter, and a bright orange chronograph hand.
