Lot Essay

Jaeger-LeCoultre introduced the Duomètre à Chronographe in 2007. In most traditional chronographs the time and chronograph functions share the same power source, however in the Duometre they are separated. This model features two barrels with two mainsprings, one that powers the time and minutes and the other that powers the chronograph. This model has an interesting dial configuration. The time is shown in the left sub dial, the chronograph with hours and minutes is shown on the right sub-dial and includes a digital minute disc, and at 6 o’clock it displays the jumping seconds in 1/6th of a second increments.
