The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Movement: The movement is ticking at the time of cataloguing and all functions are working; however, a service is recommended. Christie’s does not guarantee the future working of the movement.
Case: The case is in good condition, with signs of wear, scratches and dents. The case back shows signs of wear and engraving: ‘SYMETAIN A M LEOPOLD LOGNAY 1937-1952’. The crown is unsigned.
Dial: Very good condition. The hand of the counters and the hand of the chronograph were probably replaced during a service. Two subsidiary dials indicating 30 minutes register and constant seconds.
Overall condition: Good for its age.
