The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The original dial has a wonderful patina. Throughout with slight scratches. The blue and green graphics of the scales are slightly blurred, but still legible. The original hands have some colour splintering, with slight surface scratches and slight oxidation signs. The case with slight surface wear throughout, polished some time ago. Slight scratches from improper opening of the timepiece between the bezel, case centre and case back. Slight colour chipping on the numeral 12 of the bezel. Case back bears an engraved inscription of "A.J.F. 17-XII-43. The fixed bars between the lugs are slightly bent, but do not hinder the fastening of a strap in any way. In generally good condition for its age. The movement is in working order at the time of cataloguing, consistent with the age of the watch. The movement has not been tested for accuracy. A service is strongly recommended.
