Lot Essay

Speedmaster Professional Ref. 145.012 was produced in 1967 and 1968. It is the last Speedmaster with caliber 321 movement (based on the Lémania 27CH C12). In 1968, it was replaced by ref. 145.022-68.

Ref. 145.012, together with ref. 105.003 and 105.012, was also the Speedmaster used during Extravehicular Activities (EVA) by astronauts during the Apollo missions.

The present example is preserved in attractive overall condition, still retaining the original crystal etched with the Omega symbol, original bezel and crown.

Examples of ref. 145.012 are described and illustrated in Omega – A Journey Through Time by Marco Richon, pp. 603 & 604.
