The reference 417 offered here for sale is an attractive example of the model, featuring the prestigious Beyer Chronometrie retailer signature to the lower half of the dial.
Reference 417 was launched in 1934. It features the modern, yet typical Art Deco style case was designed to fit around the wrist and is also called "Railway" because of its aerodynamic look and the stepped sides.
Beyer Chronometrie Zurich Since its foundation in 1760, the prestigious firm has always been passed down from father to son, each a fully trained watchmaker. Beyer Chronometrie was the first shop in Switzerland specializing exclusively in watches, clocks and jewellery and has been retailing watches signed Patek Philippe for over 165 years. The firm is currently managed by René Beyer who represents the eight generation of the Beyer family.
The company also owns the renowned Clock and Watch Museum Beyer Zürich, one of the world's most important horological collections. It comprises some 500 pieces dating from 1400 BC to the present day.

The dial has been professionally cleaned and reprinted but a while ago, with very slight oxidation on the applied indexes. Hands with very slight scratches. Case with surface wear. Hallmark to the band slightly rubbed.The movement is in working order at the time of cataloguing, consistent with the age of the watch. The movement has not been tested for accuracy. A service is recommended.
