The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The present lot is offered in very good vintage condition. The dial is very good. The bezel is very good with some light wear visible at the edges. The case is good with light scuffs throughout and some scratches. The case back displays some scratches from the edges. Also, the case back is inscribed “MATT / A GREAT BROTHER / AND EVEN BETTER FRIEND / JOHN & ELLEN / 9-11-93”. The movement is in working order at the time of cataloging, consistent with the age of the watch. The chronograph is functioning and the date is progressing as the hour hand passes 12. The movement has not been tested for accuracy. A service is recommended given the age of the watch.
