Lot Essay

The IWC Mark XII is a modern classic with design elements coming from pilot and military watches. The Mark XII has a utilitarian design with a very legible dial and great functionality. This particular watch is a part of a limited edition created especially for Emilio Fontana, an Italian distributor of IWC at the time. This particular limited edition is made distinct from the regular model by having the updated ETA movement, a blue dial with EF added to the lower half of the dial, a yellow seconds hand, and a lightweight titanium case. Also of note, this one of two of these limited editions of this refence to not feature a date complication.
