拍品專文

IWC's Da Vinci line was first introduced around 1970, and reimagined in 1985 with the first ever perpetual calendar complication able to be adjusted from the crown directly. The case was designed by Hanno Burtscher, inspired by Leonardo Da Vinci's bold circular sketches for the fortifications in the Port of Piombino. Though highly complicated, the legible dial belies the even greater complications beneath. In addition to the quick-set perpetual calendar with moon phases, the cal. 76061 movement is powered by a tourbillon escapement heightened within a spectacular gilt brass base designed by none other than Kurt Klaus, one of IWC's most influential and iconic watchmakers.
