Lot Essay

Fresh to market and from the family of the original owner, the present pink gold Patek Philippe pocket watch reference 744 may be one of the most attractive and beautiful pocket watches from this era of Patek Philippe. Often rereferred by collectors as "pink on pink," the pink gold case is further enhanced by a pink two-tone dial. The watch features a "long signature" with beautiful art deco numerals. Furthermore, all inscriptions are engraved and filled with hard enamel, and remain strong and and well-preserved. The watch is fitted with an associated gold chatelaine with the original owner's initials.
