Lot Essay

The Reference 2525 was produced from 1952-1958 only in yellow, pink and white gold. A waterproof model, the Reference 2525/1, was manufactured from 1953 until 1962. The present lot represents one of the earliest production pieces for this reference, featuring the earlier snap-back case made by Wenger. To the best of our knowledge, less than 20 yellow gold 2525 models with snap back cases have returned to market, making the present lot exceedingly rare.
