The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Movement: The movement is ticking at the time of cataloguing, and all functions are working; however, a service is recommended at the purchaser's discretion. Christie’s does not guarantee the future working of the movement.
Dial: The dial has light debris with staining and age on the right side. The hands have light scratches and oxidation.
Case: The case has light to moderate surface level scratches and light. The crystal has light scratches. The back of the lugs have wear, and the hallmark is visible and defined with some fading.
Buckle: The stainless steel buckle is generic.
Overall Condition: Good

The watch is sold and delivered with a Christie's branded calf leather strap; the original strap is not included in the sale.

(b) As collectors' watches and clocks often have very fine and complex mechanisms, a general service, change of battery or further repair work may be necessary, for which you are responsible. We do not give a warranty that any watch or clock is in good working order or whether it can be accepted for service or serviced by its manufacturer. Certificates are not available unless described in the catalogue.

(c) Most watches have been opened to find out the type and quality of movement. For that reason, watches with water resistant cases may not be waterproof, and we recommend you have them checked by a competent watchmaker before use.
