Lot Essay

Breitling developed the Chronomat chronograph for pilots in the early 1940s. The Chronomat’s design was inspired by engineering and mathematics. The Chronomat was a predecessor of the Navitimer one of Breitling’s classic models. The blue dial combined with the solid 18k Yellow gold case and bracelet add a level of elegance to a sport wristwatch. The present lot is possibly unpolished and offered in very good overall condition.
