The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The present lot is in worn overall condition. The dial is clean with no signs of spotting or aging. The lume on the hands and indices appear to be uniform and consistent with the age of the watch. The crystal has scratches on the 9 o clock side of the dial as well as one long scratch going from the 11 o clock to the 3 o clock. The bezel is in worn condition with visible surface scratches mostly in the 12 o clock side of the bezel as well as minor scratching on 6 o clock side of the bezel. The case is in worn condition consistent with the age of the watch. The case has visible marks from wear and the case back is engraved “JFB 1988”. The hallmarks on the back of the case lugs are visible. The bracelet is in overall worn condition consistent with the wear of the case and bezel. The clasp is in very worn condition, consistent with the wear on the case and bracelet. The safety clasp is very worn, and the Calatrava cross has rubbed over time consistent with the wear of the watch. The inside deployant clasp is engraved “Nautilus 20”, Swiss made, Patek Philippe Geneve , 750, G for Gay Freres. The watch has had a full overhaul in February 2021.
