ROLEX, DAY DATE, VIGNETTE DIAL, 18K YELLOW GOLD, REF. 18138
The vignette dial is an example of the jewelry work that Rolex is capable of. The precision of the settings within the dial as well as the color fade from inner to outer dial is a work of art displayed by the watchmakers of Rolex. The vignette dials are created in the same process as the beautiful and collectible Stella dials, through first rotating the dial while applying a lacquer, then varnishing the outer edges to produce a magnificent transition of bright to deep, dark, color on a diamond dial.
