FROM THE FAMILY OF THE ORIGINAL OWNER: This present lot belonged to Christian A. Johnson (1904-1964), an immigrant from Sweden who came to America in 1909 and went on to become a notable financier and industrialist. He was a key figure in the creation of the Public Utility Holding Company Act of 1935, a distinguished Chairman and President of Mack Truck Company, and most importantly, the establisher of the Endeavor Foundation in 1952. He was an honest gentleman who unconditionally stood by his word and would go out of his way to aid others in need.
