The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Movement: The movement is ticking at the time of cataloguing, and all functions are working; however, a service is recommended at the purchaser's discretion. Christie’s does not guarantee the future working of the movement.
Dial: The dial shows age with staining, debris, and scratches. The hands are early service replacements with cracking in the lume.
Case: The case has scratches and light nicks, and the case is worn with the serial numbers between the lugs not being visible from wear and a polishing. A watchmaker engraved the back of the lug a long time age and it ready 'X29094', dating the watch to circa 1959-1963. The bezel, crown, and crystal are service replacements, and the crystal has light scratches and nicks. The caseback bears a personal engraving. The inside caseback is stamped '1675.' The hallmark is crisp and defined.
Buckle: The gold-plated buckle has scratches and wear.
Accessory: The presentation box insert is absent.
Overall Condition: Good

The watch is sold and delivered with a Christie's branded strap; the original strap is not included in the sale.

We do not give a warranty that any watch or clock is in good working order or whether it can be accepted for service or serviced by its manufacturer. Certificates are not available unless described in the catalogue.

(c) Most watches have been opened to find out the type and quality of movement. For that reason, watches with water resistant cases may not be waterproof, and we recommend you have them checked by a competent watchmaker before use.
