About the artist

Noir came to fame for being the first artist to paint the Berlin Wall in the 1980s. He covered 5 miles of it in his iconic and bold style. Here, Noir wanted to pay tribute to the memory of his former assistant, Lisa Brown, who passed away from breast cancer in July 2001, at the young age of 31 years old.

The Sculptures are a hand painted decorative finish with a tough exterior glaze over the top. However like any decorative painted exterior finish it would need annual maintenance to keep it looking like new. Inside they will last indefinitely but outside they will suffer just like another garden sculpture from the harshness of the seasons. Many previous trail pieces have lived outside but have needed annual repair and as the years pass this starts to become more complex and less satisfactory for the owners. We recommend that for a long and healthy life your sculpture lives indoors.
