The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Do. I: a 2¹⁄₈-in. crease at the lower right sheet corner
Do. II: a 2¹⁄₂-in. crease at the lower right sheet corner, an area of discoloration at the lower sheet edge
Do. III: a minor occlusion in the upper margin
Do. IV: a pale area of discoloration in the upper left margin
Do. V: a minor printing imperfection in the upper subject, a ³⁄₈-in. tear at the lower sheet edge
Do. VI: very pale uneven toning at the left extreme sheet edge
