The veneers with some similar surface marks and scratches, predominantly to the lower tier, as to be expected from age and use. There are minor signs of old wood worm, now apparently inactive. The crevices of the legs with traces of polish residue.
The leather writing surface with the expected wear. The inside of drawer with various stickers, including one numbered '3/87' and another '55147'.
