The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In good overall condition.
The whole has been cleaned and repolished at some time and the present finish is clean and bright retaining some green colouring to the ground timber.
The escutcheons and sabots regilt but probably original as is the top and gallery.
Very slight movement to the carcase and shrinkage and cracking as to be expected and there is slight undulation to the drawerfronts and to the back panel, with a horizontal hairline crack to the centre of the latter which has been braced to theinterior with butterfly fillets at some time. There are minor repairs, chips and losses to the veneers as to be expected, notably there are small losses to the crossbanding to the lower edge of the bottom drawer and to the middle of the right-hand upright. The relapced gilt-tooled dark-red leather to the drawer in good condition.
Overall minor knocks, chips, scratches and wear consistent with age and use.
In generally good decorative and structural condition and ready to use.
