The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
This useful desk is in generally good overall condition.
The whole has been cleaned and repolished at some time and the finish is little pale but bright and consistent.
There is slight shrinkage cracking throughout and there is a little consequent movement to the veneers, including some very slight lifting to the banding to the right-hand drawer.
The 20th century leather is a little worn and faded taking on an attractive mellow colour/patina.
One sabot detached but present.
Overall minor knocks, chips, scratches and wear consistent with age and use.
In generally good decorative and structural condition and ready to use.
