The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
In reasonably good overall condition.
The side handles possibly original, the sabots associated. Lacking some edging to the top, other elements reattached.
As stated in the cataloguing, the lower section has been reconfigured and apparently originally had two shallow drawers above a smaller cupboard, probably with two folding doors.
The alterations have resulted in later/re-veneering including to the door and possibly to the back panel. The handles have been moved slightly to the sides, so the and the old (small) holes have been very well patched in, indicating that the sides have not been re-veneered. Slight shrinkage and warping throughout, as to be expected.
Minor old chips, losses and repairs to veneers.
Traces of apparently inactive, historic woodworm.
Overall minor knocks, chips, scratches and wear consistent with age and use.
In generally good decorative and structural condition and ready to use.
