In good overall condition. The replaced leather in generally good condition with minimal aging, marking or wear from use. As stated in the cataloguing text, possibly re-mounted. Traces of apparently inactive, historic woodworm. Cleaned and repolished at some time. Slight shrinkage and cracking throughout, as to be expected. The top with well repaired lateral splits, these have been repaired to the underside with the insertion of flush butterfly fillets. These splits are not readily visibble externally and predate the present leather. Two drawers with replaces sections to the internal base boards. The right drawer with ink-staining to the interior. Illegible inscription to the underside 'a...c...'. Evidence of apparently inactive, historic woodworm. Overall minor knocks, chips, scratches, wear and minor veneer repairs consistent with age and use. In generally good decorative and structural condition and ready to use.
