The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
This commode is in generally good overall condition.
The decorative scheme is in generally good overall condition. The decoration estensively refreshed but probably incorporating/echoing theoriginal scheme with the right hand end showing most likelyhood of being repainted, there is also minor localised retouching evident, mainly to the ground colour where holes and cracks have been filled, this has been relatively well done and is not obtrusive. Remounted. There is the expected slight shrinkage, movement and cracking throughout, consistent with age and there are the minor chips and losses as expected.
Traces of apparently inactive, historic woodworm.
Overall minor knocks, chips, scratches and wear consistent with age and use.
In generally good decorative and structural condition.
