The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
In generally good overall condition.
They have been redecorated and there are traces of black paint to the underside but this is unlikely to be original and the present scheme may reflect the original.
The frames usably firm but with very slight movement to the joints which do not apear to have been reglied.
The probably 19th century embroidered/woolwork upholstery a little marked, dusty and worn but decorative and serviceable.
Traces of apparently inactive, historic woodworm.
Each chair stamped and stencilled once to the front rail, the chairs with crayon numbering '2' & '3' respectively.
Overall minor knocks, chips, scratches and wear consistent with age and use.
In generally good decorative and structural condition.
