The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
In good overall reasonably good condition.
The Meissen birds not attached to base mount, slightly granular to tips of beaks suggesting possible microchips.
The flowers continental porcelain. As stated in cataloguing text some flowers possibly replaced, also some losses. One flower broken through the centre and glued others with old chips and losses, several very loose/detached and one loose petal present. The flowers loose/reattached with brown wax(?) the bottom of the birds covered with the same fixing agent. The Green patinated elements have been repatinated at some time and seem to be on a copper-heavy base metal, they are a little misshapen in places. The gilding has at least been cleaned and is very bright as these candelabra were cased and so protected from oxidisation in recent times. Possibly, but not conclusively, regilt. The sizing of the apertures to the bases has been adjusted to fit the figures precisely, probably at the time of construction and the inserts are consistent with the rest of the base sections. The bird's tails restored and minor losses to bocage, one with overpainted localised restoration to protuding branch-stumps and bocage. One with slightly more restoration apparent than the other.
Overall minor marks and wear from handling, elements possibly slightly misshapen.
In generally good decorative condition and ready to place.
