The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

These chairs are in good overall restored condition.
The surfaces have been cleaned and repolished and there is a very slight loss of definition/raising of the grain.
The present upholstery is in good condition with minimal marking or wear.
Various old splits and repairs throughout, all of which are now firm and have been carried out to a good standard.
Several of the joints have been repegged to the underside, and the front left leg joint to one chair and the rear left to the other have been repaired to the interior and there is some historic splitting around the joint which has been repaired and is now stable. The top edge of the seat rails has been relined throughout to both chairs. There are also other minor repairs throughout including to the top rails, one of which has been patched to the underside.
Overall minor knocks, chips, scratches and wear consistent with age and use.
In generally good decorative and structural condition and ready to use.
